Walking Through Holy Week

Holy Week always invites me to slow down.

Not in a hurried, checklist kind of way -
but in the quiet, steady way the heart sometimes needs when it is trying to remember something sacred.

There is a tenderness to these days.

From the waving branches on the road into Jerusalem…
to the upper room filled with both love and coming sorrow…
to the long, heavy silence of the cross.

Scripture does not rush this story.

And I am learning not to rush it either.

Because Holy Week gently reminds us that redemption often unfolds step by step, not all at once.

There was confusion before there was clarity.
There was grief before there was glory.
There was waiting before there was resurrection morning.

If this week finds your own heart in a place of unfolding -
still trusting, still watching, still holding faith a little more quietly than usual -
you are in good company.

The disciples walked this road one uncertain step at a time.

And the Savior was already completing a work far greater than they could see.

So this Holy Week, I am choosing to walk slowly.
To listen closely.
To remember deeply.

Resurrection is coming.

But there is grace for every faithful step that leads us there.
