About Eden Hartwell

About Me

I’m Eden Hartwell — a songwriter, storyteller, and visual artist drawn to the quiet places where faith and story meet.

With a pen in my hand and Scripture close by, I create music and art that gently point beyond myself toward the steady, sustaining love of Christ. Much of my work steps into the lives of the faithful, the overlooked, and the quietly brave, guided by a question that often lives at the center of my creative process:

What did it feel like to stand there?

From biblically inspired narrative songs to reflective worship pieces and tender children’s stories, my work is woven together by a warm, painterly style and a deep love for meaningful storytelling. My hope is that those who encounter my work will not only hear the story — but feel invited into it.

Life Rooted in Faith

My creative journey has been shaped by years spent in Scripture, prayer, and the everyday practice of walking with the Lord through both ordinary and stretching seasons. My Bible is well worn, often marked by tears and notes written in the margins of real life.

I don’t write as someone who has everything figured out.

I write as someone who keeps returning — again and again — to the steady mercy of God.

Life Beyond the Studio

I walk this creative road alongside my husband, whose steady presence and shared faith continue to shape both my life and my work. Together we pursue a life oriented towards what matters most — faith, family, and following where the Lord leads, step by step.

When I’m not writing or creating, you’ll often find me studying the natural world, gathering inspiration from woodland paths, or working on new stories that weave together memory, faith, and imagination.

The Heart Behind My Work

If I hope to be known for anything, it is not the strength of my voice or the number of my songs.

It is this:

A life that keeps running back to Christ.

Every melody.
Every line.
Every quiet brushstroke.

All for His glory.
